Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of problems affecting muscles, joints, tendons and nerves. Every appointment is one-to-one with Ed Davis, an NHS Enhanced Practice Level MSK physiotherapist and First Contact Practitioner.
Your first appointment is a full MSK assessment: a detailed history, a physical examination and clear clinical reasoning that explains what is driving your symptoms. You leave with a working diagnosis, a plan and an honest view of the likely timescale.
Ed screens for red flag pathology as standard and, where onward investigation, imaging or a GP referral is appropriate, he will say so directly rather than treating around it.
History and symptom mapping, movement and strength testing, joint and neurological screening where indicated, an explanation of your diagnosis, and a written rehabilitation plan.
Hands-on treatment where it helps, graded exercise and loading, pacing and return-to-activity planning — progressed session by session against your goals.
In-clinic appointments are held in Taunton, easily reached from Wellington, Bridgwater, Wiveliscombe, Minehead and the wider Somerset area. If you live further afield, video consultations give you the same structured assessment and rehabilitation planning.
Every face-to-face appointment includes one week of WhatsApp support afterwards, so you are not left guessing about technique or progression.
40-minute assessment £70, 25-minute follow-up £45, or a 15-minute virtual triage call for £25.
